Strategic Profits is a business coaching organization lead by Rich Schefren, who has coached many well-known and respected Internet gurus to streamline their business while increasing profits. Typically, attendance is capped at Strategic Profits' in-person members-only seminars to create an intimate atmosphere between Schefren and the attendees. But as the organization was preparing for an upcoming launch of a new online university in March 2007, Strategic Partners considered conducting a live video webcast of Schefren's two-day summit in February 2007 as part of the company's lead generation campaign. The first two hours would be available to everyone, while opening up a limited number of memberships for the online university.
For Strategic Profits, selecting the right vendor was crucial as the organization anticipated thousands of online attendees for the event. Even a 30 second delay in streaming the live event could impact the organization's branding, ultimately impacting the launch and consumer experience. After speaking with several companies, Strategic Profits partnered with ON24 Inc. to provide the live video webcast solutions.
ON24 provided the following solutions to accommodate Strategic Profits' needs:
- ON24 Webcast Center: Strategic Profits conducted the live video webcast using the ON24 Webcast Center. Using a film crew on location, ON24 streamed the live seminar to thousands of viewers over the Internet.
- Real-time Reporting: ON24 Webcast Center provided the organization with a real-time view into the number of attendees and questions asked by viewers.
- Pass-through Registration: As Strategic Partners was accepting membership for the new online university on a first come first served basis, ON24's webcasting platform enabled Strategic Partners to accept payments and close registration when the membership cap was reached.
When Schefren began the summit, the response was overwhelming with over 5,000 viewers attending the two-hour live video webcast and the limited number of memberships selling out in six minutes. The organization estimates that nearly 70,000 people viewed the organization's online content, including the two-hour video webcast, as a result of the promotional efforts and momentum from the February live video webcasts. Upon launching the online university in late March, Strategic Profits has generated over $2.8 million in revenues and thousands of new leads for the company's database.
