How do webcasts differ from webinars?
Webcasting is how audio and video is streamed - or transmitted - over the Internet whereas a webinar is an online seminar. A webinar can be delivered via webcasting.

Isn't this web conferencing?
While web conferencing is great for smaller groups of people seeking to collaborate on a subject or project, webcasting is a more robust and reliable way for audio streaming or video streaming to hundreds and thousands of people.

How are you different from web conferencing?
Web conferencing is a live meeting or presentation over the Internet that requires the use of a physical phone line or conference call bridge. Web conferencing is ideal for small, collaborative meetings of a few or 20 people. This is the type of solution provided by WebEx, iLinc, Microsoft Live Meeting, and other similar service providers.

Webcasting streams the audio and video over the Internet and can also use a phone line or conference call bridge to augment the audio, but this isn't necessary. Webcasting provides companies a way to communicate with hundreds and thousands of people via a one-to-many broadcast. ON24 is a webcasting solutions provider.

I'm seeking pricing information. How much do you charge for your services?
Unlike other service providers, ON24 does not price events on a per user, per minute basis, which can be substantial when hundreds and thousands of viewers are anticipated for a single webinar. ON24 offers customers two service levels - Self-Service or Full Service - based on a customer's specific needs and volume of events.

Self-Service might be appropriate for companies that produce a significant number of events per year and have the internal resources to manage these events. For those companies with fewer events per year and/or prefer to outsource the event management, Full-Service might be an appropriate option. This may vary depending on a company's needs, internal resources, and total number of webcasts per year.

ON24 bases pricing for these service levels on the following points:

Self Service:

  1. Company licenses ON24's webcasting platform and has access to all supported event types as needed.
  2. Company pays a one-time setup, implementation, and training fee.
  3. Ongoing fees include a monthly application access fee, which includes technical support and 24-hour access to the platform and reporting.
  4. Each streaming event includes up to one-hour of webcasting and 250 viewers. There are incremental charges for additional time and viewers.
  5. ON24 does offer discounts based on volume of use and annual commitments. These discounts can be fairly substantial.
  6. Live events are priced higher than on-demand only events. All live events include three months of archived hosting with unlimited viewers

Full Service:

  1. Full service events include a product and service fee for project managing the event. Each event type includes a certain number of professional services project management and support time including time for setting up the event, training the presenters, and monitoring the actual event.
  2. Companies are charged on a per-event basis. There are no additional costs for setup, implementation or training.
  3. ON24 provides discounts based on volume of use or annual commitments.
  4. Live events are priced higher than on-demand only events. All live events include three months of archived hosting with unlimited viewers.
