Since implementing ON24, CompTIA on average drives over 9,000 IT professional registrations per quarterly webinar and delivers on average over 3,000 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per webinar.

Problem

CompTIA certifications help IT professionals verify their skills to employers. To keep up with changing technology, IT professionals must keep their certifications current by earning Continuing Education Units. CompTIA’s quarterly IT Pro webinar series is one avenue IT professionals can use to earn a portion of the CEUs. When CompTIA launched their IT Pro webinar series using another department’s webinar platform, Eileen Ristau, Marketing Specialist at CompTIA, quickly discovered that it was not going to meet their needs.

With the cap that the platform had on webinar attendees, she constantly worried that they were going to hit their limit and attendees wouldn’t be able to access the webinar. She also found the user experience to be basic and wanted something more engaging besides just loading a PowerPoint and presenting slides. She needed a solution that would easily help her manage and issue thousands of CEUs.

Solution

After a trial webinar with ON24, she knew CompTIA’s audience would love the experience the ON24® Platform provided as much as she did. CompTIA required a solution that could host a large audience, seamlessly deliver certificates for CEU credit and integrate with its marketing automation software, Marketo.

With ON24, CompTIA was able to:

  • Scale their quarterly webinar program with no cap: Eileen grew the program and hosted over 3,000 live attendees per quarterly webinar without ever having to worry about maxing out their attendee limit.
  • Save time and easily deliver CEUs live or on-demand: Providing attendees with the ability to earn their CEUsm, either live or on-demand, improved the overall user experience.
  • Capture attendee engagement and integrate with Marketo: Attendees were issued certificates automatically depending on the specific trigger of webinar time watched. All of this information integrated with Marketo helping to track webinar engagement.
